Hyakuman en no onna tachi Episodes 10+11

EDIT: Ooops. I assumed there was no episode 12 because there was no preview at the end for the next episode but bframe just informed me there's one more and I should not get my hopes up for it. Its probably going to be a week before it shows up on streaming sites.

And so it ends not with a bang but a whimper. We finally found out who the mastermind is and my only reaction is... eh? There is no finality, no aha or omfg moments. I was sitting there thinking, "That's it? After all that build up?"

It so disappointing to see a show with interesting characters and story possibilities end with nothing. Hyakkuman en no onna tachi kept me on my toes through the series but a mystery show is as good as its ending and this was a let down. A big meh from me. I wonder if the original manga has a better ending?

Kenja no Ai Eng subs out at d-addicts!

Kenja no Ai was one of the best shows of 2016 and the English subs have finally surfaced on d-addicts, freed from the chains of private livejournal groups. I bloody recommend it cause its just so good. The torrents at nyaa don't seem to have seeds but you can get it from avistaz or doramax265 if the links still work. If you like jdoramas, you have to watch this and not knowing Japanese can no longer be a reason.

Chiisana Kyojin Episodes 1-5

Chiisana Kyojin is basically the cop version of Hanzawa Naoki, which means overabundance of stirring music, overacting villains and unnecessary posing and shouting. In other words, its a good cop vs bad cop show where the word subtlety does not exist.

It doesn't mean that Chiisana Kyojin is all bad though. What kept me watching throughout the five episodes were the actors involved, especially Yasuda Ken although the overacting did grate on me somewhat.

Playing my 3DS which watching also helped me though the cringeworthy parts. I did enjoy the first story which was about Hasegawa Hiroki trying to uncover the police mole, shades of Infernal Affairs except its not half as good.

Chiisana Kyojin is what it is. Those who liked Hanzawa Naoki will enjoy it the colourful villains who have a neon sign above their head saying 'I'm a bad guy' and those who have Hanzawa Naoki will find this to be a tolerable version.

Midnight Diner / Shinya Shokudo movie 2 2016

The second Midnight Diner/Shinya Shokudo movie is finally here, and can be gotten at avista! Like the first movie, its more of a collection of short stories instead of mixing being one two hour story.

However, I found the three stories to be pretty good and fun to watch, especially with the subtle jokes that long time fans of the series will enjoy very much.

The third and last story is the longest and features a lot of the supporting characters all doing a small role which made me enjoy it more.

While I would still prefer the Shinya Shokudo movies to mix their stories together a bit more, the second movie is a lot more satisfying than the first.

This series can never get old and everytime I watch it, its like revisiting old friends. Must watch cause its better than the first movie.

Hyakuman en no Onna tachi episodes 6-9

NOOOooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF! WTF! WTF! WTF!

What is this show doing to me??!!!!! I can't remember the last time a harem dorama has had me at the edge of my seat and caring about all the characters. The ending to episode 7 is bad enough but the ending to episode 9 had me screaming at my computer screen.

There better to be good explanation for everything! Can't decide if its a must watch or not until it finishes but every episode is appointment viewing. You can stream the show from 7tv7dorama. Doesn't look like anyone has uploaded episode 2 and above on nyaa.

Kuzu no Honkai Episodes 1-3

What happens when a girl, Mugi likes her oniichan who is also her teacher and a guy, Mugi likes his music teacher who was his ex-tutor but both their one-sided loves are unrequited?

They both decide to become a fake couple and use each other to relieve their sexual frustrations.

At first, Kuzu no Honkai felt like a cheap generic shoujo manga show with but every episode ends with a very exciting reveal and I rather enjoyed how 'adult' the dorama was.

While I wish they had a bigger budget to make make it more beautiful, Kuzu no Honkai's story  so far has been surprisingly interesting and well paced.

The acting is kind of meh but nothing off-putting.

I'd rate the first three episodes as surprisingly watchable.

I'm interested in seeing where the characters go from here.
