Hamsapsukebe jdorama awards 2022

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time once again to celebrate the best jdoramas had to offer in 2022! To get the elephant in the room out of the way, 2022 belonged to three amazing shows, The Journalist, Elpis and Ryojin no Ono. Followed by about 10 watchable shows which makes it the hardest year for me to pick the best 5 show of the year.

BEST ACTRESS

Nagasawa Masami (Elpis)

If you said Yonekura Ryoko in The Journalist, I would not argue with you but I think Elpis would be a different show without Nagasawa Masami.

BEST ACTOR

Iura Arata (Ryojin no Ono)

One of the best actors in jdoramaland.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Shibata Kyohei (Ryojin no Ono)

IMHO the most important actor in that show.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Kaho (Silent)

Kaho single handedly saved Silent from being a bad jdorama. She needs to be main actress in jdoramas.

I DID NOT KNOW THIS PERSON COULD ACT AWARD

Kame in Shoutai

Kame has been released from my this guy cannot act list but unfortunately he has starred in so many bad jdoramas. If I were a Johnny I would only act in WOWOW shows so that I can say I have been something decent.

WORST JDORAMA IN TERMS OF QUALITY

Roppongi Class

Words cannot describe how horrible the writing and acting in Roppongi Class is. Not to mention it has the fakest izakaya I have ever seen in all of jdorama. Everything about this show is wrong and I can't believe the producers have no quality control. If I were the Japanese minister for common sense, I would cancel this show straight away.

SURPRINGSLY GOOD JDORAMA AWARD

Tsuma wa Shogakusei ni Naru. This show should have been an abomination of a crying porn jdorama especially being a TBS show but bloody hell ended pretty watchable. Runner-up is Shoujiki Fudousan because I don't like Yamapi but he was cast in the correct jdorama.

5 BEST JDORAMAS OF 2022

5. CINEKON E IKOU!

Sentimental favourite for me. I really want to give this a must watch because it is so funny, has that magic and Watanabe Dai shows that he is a good actor.

4. KONYA WA KONOJI DE season 2

Love this series so much. Season 2 continues the story and introduces more interesting characters and the food looks so effing good.

3. RYOJIN NO ONO

This show is so good and so bloody depressing you will think about it long after you finish watching.

2. ELPIS

Nagasawa Masami and Maeda Gordon power this amazingly written and acted show about how scary doing the right thing is. The only thing I don't like is how Nagasawa Masami's face is starting not to move.

1. THE JOURNALIST

Amazing script and directing and great acting. Please make more shows like this Netflix. May I suggest a Unification Church jdorama or Dentsu overwork story? I don't think they can combine the Dentsu overwork with the vote rigging story can they?

Been waiting for your 2022 J-Drama Award. I've been wondering, is there any english subs for Yuji Sakamoto's Hatsukoi no Akuma/The Devil of First Love? Been wanting to watch it, and see your opinion about it, and it did won Best Screenwriter on Television Drama Academy Awards.

@Faiz Ikari: I did not know Sakamoto Yuji had a show in 2022! Thanks for pointing this out! Looks like Kaizen subs is subbing it. https://twitter.com/KaizenSubs
I am definitely watching this!

@Akiramike: I also didn't know either, I sometimes check which drama won awards on Television Drama Academy Awards on DramaWiki, and kind of suprised to see Yuji Sakamoto name on Summer 2022 winner list.

Never too late! I look forward to your reviews, and this was an unexpected windful at this later stage. Haven't watched any of these, several treats in store for me.

I also enjoyed Shoujiki Fudousan and The Journalist. I still need to watch Elpis.

Netflix Canada released Koreeda Hirokazu’s series called “Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House” and I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it.

If you like Do As Infinity and The Brilliant Green then I know your taste in music is excellent. Hopefully your taste in dramas is just as good. I'll follow your lead and try watching some of your award winners to see how I like them. It's been a while since I've found one that I can make it to even the second episode.

@Dead by Dewani: I have not listened to DAI and The Brilliant Green in ages! You got me listening to Stand by Me again.
