The premise of 3-nen A gumi is simple, the non wheelchair guy from Dele is a teacher who takes his class hostage close to uncover the truth behind the death of a student. I was half expecting the dorama to collapse under the weight of its own logic but it hasn't yet due to the fact that it doesn't take itself seriously.
You've got the cheezy 'charisma teacher' who loves hogging the spotlight, bad special effects and the most in useless police force in all the world. 3 nen A gumi is presented in such a way that it invites you to turn off your brain and go on the ride while the writer tries to keep the revelations interesting.
I came into 3 nen A gumi without any expectations except to expect lots of idorus but its turned out to be entertaining. Plus, I think there's actually only one idoru in this show. You can spot the idoru a mile away because the character will always be a dancer.
With episode 4, we finally get to the teacher's true motive. Let's see where his incredible master plan goes from there. Surprisingly watchable. Thanks to Keiko1981 for timing the Japanese subs and she's got a very use fansub map up as well!

You're welcome! :) I was starting to expect that half the class would erased by the end of the drama. For a while I thought, maybe just one student will be left at the end, but I ended up dropping that theory. It'd be too bloody for mainstream TV.
there're more than one idol, believe me
@anon: If I not mistaken there are two more aidol members. BTW Kawaei is no longer one though
the use of the morning exercise song is brilliant
