Harassment Game SP 2020

Harassment Game was probably my favourite jdorama of 2018 and the show is back with a jdorama special. Jdorama specials are just an excuse to get your favourite characters back together again and to serve as a bit of fan service epilogue.

This time we have Karasawa Toshiagi back again to go up against Nakama Yukie who is from 'Kotoku', a division of inspectors tasked with eliminating overwork. A suicide attempt happened at Maruo's Minato Mirai branch and Karasawa has to investigate it with the Kotoku division breathing down his neck.

Its a pretty fun episode and I enjoyed Nakama Yukie's performance. Karata Erika is also here but her acting does not inspire a lot of confidence. Edit: Just realised Karata Erika was involved in an affair with Higashide Masahiro (the cop from Pure) and like we won't be seeing Erika for some time. We probably won't be seeing the sequel to Pure either.

If you have not watched Harassment Game, I highly recommend it. For fans, the dorama special is ok. It did make me think about a second season. If the first season is based on a novel, are there more stories to make a second season?

I enjoy the show because so much is relevant to today's workplace and Karasawa Toshiagi's acting is fun to watch.
