Based on a novel by Minato Kanae, writer of the must watch Snow White Murder Case, N no Tame Ni, feels like a whudunnit version of Byakuyako except with Ushijima-kun's role divided into 3 people. N no Tame Ni starts of similarly to Snow White Murder Case, with a scene of a murder and the four suspects, whose names all start with N. One of them takes the fall for the murder and tells his lawyer it was all for N.
Like Byakuyako, we have an old cop trying to find out the truth about the case and the dorama slowly shows us the teenage years of our main character Nozomi whose dad throws her along with her brother and mother out of the house for his mistress. The first two episodes deals with Nozmi's hardship surviving on 100000 yen a month and her mom not being able to accept reality.
N no Tame Ni is slow and deliberate but I'm not getting the Petero no Souretsu vibe of this is definitely going to be good. The vibe I'm getting is that this is going to be a good show if the twists and turns work well. The fact that its based on a book by the writer of Show White Murder Case is reason enough to give this a shot. Watchable so far with potential to be good.
