At the very least Abe's acting will be able to this dorama to watchable if the script actually turns out to be mediocre. Trailer looks good.
DOUBLE FACE
Actually I'd rather perform a sacrifice for Double Face which are two doramas with the same characters but shown from both sides cause I'm pretty sure Going my Home is going to be good. I want to see another terrorist dorama on par with Gaiji Keisatsu. Can't watch the trailer from the Wowow website and can't find on youtube and niconico. :(
TSUGUNAI
I'm excited about this. Definitely watching this! Dark, depressing murder mysteries are my cup of tea! Synopsis from jdramas.wordpress.com
Hidaka Eisuke (Tanihara Shosuke) was an up-and-coming brain surgeon. He even married a professor’s daughter, Hiroe (Ashina Sei) to stay ahead in the hospital’s career track. He no longer feels the significance of marriage as time passes and treats his wife and child brusquely. Meanwhile, their son dies from an illness. Blaming herself for his death, Hiroe loses the will to live and is driven to suicide. At the same time, Hidaka accepts responsibility for a medical error in the hospital. He resigns as a doctor and degenerates into a homeless man. As he wanders the streets, he meets Kusanagi Masato (Imai Yuki), a youth that he had saved from sexual abuse 12 years earlier again and begins to feel fatherly. As they support each other, Hidaka finds the hope to live, but gradually struggles with the possibility that Masato may be the criminal behind the spate of serial murders targetting the socially vulnerable on these streets … …
KODOKU NO GURUME SEASON 2
Season 2 of the food variety show masquerading as jdorama shorts. I'm definitely going to torture myself with this.
TOKUMEI TANTEI
Looks like a sequel in the spirit of the Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi series which I absolutely love. Funny macho detective stories with lots of chicks. Yes, please!
MAKETE, KATSU ~ SENGO O TSUKATTA OTOKO. YOSHIDA SHIGERU
Watanabe Ken in a post WW2 historical dorama?! W00t! Unfortunately its probably not going to be subbed and my Japanese will not be good enough for this.
YUUSHA YOSHIHIKO TO AKURYO NO KAGI
Fuck yeah! Loved Mao no Shiro. Hope they've got enough new jokes for this season. Its obvious they had fun making the first one and contributed a lot to the enjoyment, even when things got a little repetitive.
KOISURU HAE ONNA
Mimura in the Japanese version of My Fair Lady? Count me in!
SUMMARY
I am shocked at the number of shows that I want to watch and hope get subbed. Its been generally a crappy year and now we are going to get a killer season. This post is all about the the doramas that I am definitely watching. Not sure if I want to do a part 2 and talk rubbish about shows I know are going to be rubbish.
Going My Home does indeed look good, thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteI just got back from Japan, Ramen museum was cool, I only had enough space in my belly for two bowls though...damn.
I'm kind of tempted to watch 'Kekkon Shinai', but it might be in the sense of watching the aftermath of an accident... ><
ReplyDelete(Kanno Miho and Amami Yuki seem like an interesting combination, but it's directed and produced by the same people that made that crap like 'Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu'.T_T)
On the other hand, it also stars Ito Ayumi, who I really liked in 'Wedding Planner'. (To be honest, I might even just watch it for her. Can't believe it's already been ten years!)
Both the sequels you previously mentioned are on the top of my priority list. I know kodoku no gurume most like will maintain the same style as the first one (almost no plot, redundancy), but it's my guilty pleasure after all. About Yuusha, nuff said
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't you mentioned Hana no Zubora Meshi, the comic was made by the same person who create Kodoku no Gurume. Hope it will surprise me as well as anyone
TSUGUNAI kinda reminds me of the Manga MONSTER by Naoki Urasama. Its not exactly the same but the premise is pretty similar
ReplyDeleteYamaguchi Tomoko's first regular role in a dorama since Long Vacation! Since 1996! I would try any drama with just one of them - Abe, Yamaguchi, Miyazaki, Nishida - and they are all in this. As you say, it'd better be good.
ReplyDeleteKekkon Shinai: Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu for women in their 30s and 40s. I expect it to drag. Amami and Kanno are the queens of dorama but somehow they are always leading not very good shows.
Tokyo Airport: Imagine Fukada Kyoko et al speaking a lot of English...
Makete, Katsu possilby being subbed: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_119846.htm
ReplyDeleteEverthing's riding on this season. So far it's been the worst year in living memory for jdoramas. Horrible!
ReplyDelete@mrmz
ReplyDeleteWow, now that you mention it, TSUGUNAI really does sound similar to the plot of MONSTER (I watched the Anime series, yes all 74 episodes). It's almost a rip off actually....
1. JCS, I loved Still Walking and did not get Kiseki. I could see what the writer was going for but I did not feel the emotion he was trying to bring out.
ReplyDelete2. Shane, two big bowls or two small ones for tasting?
3. bframe5, I approve of your taste in Ito Ayumi.
4. Kurashina Kana in Hana no Zubora Meshi? Thanks for mentioning it.
5. Mrmz, I love Monster. Fingers crossed for Tsugunai.
6. Thanks Keiko1981, that's good news!
It was two half bowls...I know, the shame!
ReplyDeleteI take it since you didn't mention it that you aren't looking forward to Osozaki no Himawari?
http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Osozaki_no_Himawari
Ikuta Toma has been in some cheesy dramas but this one doesn't look too bad from the trailer I watched...
Do it!the part 2 please!lol
ReplyDeletelots of goodies. promising indeed!
ReplyDeleteMaki Yoko and Kuninaka Ryoko in Osozaki no Himawari and its written by the writer of the Boku series. hhhmm.
ReplyDeleteShane, you should have gone early, have two half bowls, wasted a few hours in Shin Yokohama and then gone back for two more.
